Inside Sales Analyst

Description:

Makes outbound phone calls to prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline. Through sales efforts, schedules firm appointments for outside sales representatives. Proactively contacts customers to determine service satisfaction.

Duties:

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card file leads, aged leads, dealer resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources. • Makes outbound lead and follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and set appointments. • Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers. • Prepares reports of business activities. • Enters new customer data and other sales data into competitive database. • Works with sales teams to keep account activities and literature up to date. • Participates in ride days with sales teams when appropriate to grow knowledge base. • Assists with coordinating and organizing marketing projects such as direct mail and team telemarketing initiatives. • Assists with Customer Support training or follow up as needed. • Assists Branch Administrator as needed. • Attends sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in the market place.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
